THE BEGINNING

The guys at ROYL would like to welcome you to the RIDE OF YOUR LIFE way of livin'. We want everyone to be able to find what gives them that escape from reality, and ride along with it to bring them happiness. This is how the idea of ROYL came to life...

Back in our high school days, My coworker and I became very good friends with the same tastes in almost everything and especially clothes. We also had the same mentality that it's hard for us to find a clothing company that speaks to us and creates clothes that we want to wear, and never take off. One day during our serving shift, we both met up at the soda machine, looked at each other and said “we can’t do this forever. Let’s start a clothing company”. With the intention in mind, and the excitement taking control, we set out to find a perfect name. One that is unique, but also easy to remember and relatable. The name ROYL stemmed from one of my coworkers childhood memories that his mom reminded him of. When he was little, his family would travel to Ocean City, MD for the week. One day at the beach, his cousins were boogie boarding and one of them jokingly yelled as they were riding the wave in, “the ride of your life”! It was a hilarious memory, but there was a deep meaning behind it that was something we could connect with. The next day, after we had our soda machine meeting, Years later, that memory within their family became the name of our brand, ROYL Clothing, and turned into a mentality that we embrace at ROYL. The Ride Of Your Life is something you love and embrace. Use it as your release, let go, let it take control, and let it take you for the best ride of your life.
